Date Night?

Yesterday as I was working I had a customer that I said too "you could get a new outfit for date night"
Her answer was "what is date night, if i could figure out men maybe I could have a date night"
I said "OH that's true how do we get the men in our lives to take us on a date night"
So I send it out to you, How do you get the men in your life to take you on a date? If you have success in this area please share we all need your help!!!

  1. I tell my husband point blank. If I want him to choose, I first give him the parameters to narrow it down. Otherwise I tell him what I would like to do and when- and if he is supposed to dress up lol. If I whine or complain or drop hints it doesn't work at all
But if I simply tell him cheerfully that I'd love to go out on a date with him then he is almost always happy to comply:)

    1. You can get your husband to dress up im impressed.. My husbands idea of dress up is changinf from a dirty work shirt to a clean work shirt. I would love to see him in a nice shirt and dress pants. That only happened once and it was a nice shirt a bolo tie a pair of new wranglers ad a sports coat.. That was our wedding day.

    2. Start slow, sublte and encouraging lol. Sometimes a decent pair of jeans and a button up shirt is all he needs, and it is usually enough that it makes me feel better about dressing up- which is the whole point! I'll put the clothes I want him to wear on the bed with a comment on how I think he'll look sexy in them and/or I put them out to save him time. Then I compliment him all night so he'll let me do it next time too:)
I felt I was being too blunt when we were first married, but I've learned that he is much happier when I tell him simply what I would like and then am appreciative afterwards :)

  2. Les and I are always doing "date" things.I guess it's easier with our kids being older. One thing we are going to start doing together as a date each month is going and making dinners together at a place called Dream Dinners. Its fun and we make up many dinners for the month. Les wears Dockers and a dress shirt and he almost always wears something like that when we go out for a "nice" dinner. Now for anniversary date he will put on a suit etc. I guess it comes down to making the time for each other. Just do it! :)

    1. Goingn to a cooking class that helps prepare your dinners sounds fun. I wish we had something like that around here. Austin and I try maiking time for eachother but we find it usually while we are driving somewhere for one of us to work. I find at this stage of our lives its getting harder to find time for eachother.
